Mopeds and Motorbikes Washed Safely by Hand

Motorbike valeting at Ride Effect gives your bike the same care and attention to detail that we give every car we look after. We valet mopeds such as the Piaggio Zip and the Vespa, and motorbikes such as the Harley Davidson and the Yamaha R1, washing each one by hand and finishing it with a high gloss sealant and ACF-50 to help prevent corrosion.

Ride Effect was founded by Raj Bhogal in 2021, and one standard has guided every job since: treat every vehicle as if it were our own, with no shortcuts. A motorbike has a great deal of exposed metal, chrome and intricate detail, so every part is approached with care, patience and pride, from the wheels to the pipes.

Our motorbike valeting looks after bikes on your drive, at your workplace or at our unit, across Bedford, Luton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Northampton and Towcester. Prices may vary depending on location, so tell us where the bike is kept when you get in touch and we will give you a price for your bike before you book.

The Valet in Full

What Our Motorbike Valeting Includes

Every motorbike valet follows the same order, so nothing is missed. The bike is pre washed and rinsed to take off loose dirt, then snow foam is applied and worked into the intricate areas with a soft detailing brush. The wheels are cleaned, and the bike is washed using the two bucket method, part of the safe wash method we use on every vehicle.

The two bucket method keeps the dirt that comes off the bike in the rinse bucket and away from the paintwork, which is what makes it a safe wash. Once the bike has been rinsed and every trace of shampoo has gone, a high gloss sealant is applied to the paintwork for gloss and water repellency, all chrome pipes and paintwork are polished, and ACF-50 is applied to help prevent corrosion.

Bike Prices

Which Price Applies to Your Bike

A motorbike valet has two starting prices. A moped valet starts from £80, for models such as the Piaggio Zip and the Vespa, and a motorbike valet starts from £100, for machines such as a Harley Davidson or a Yamaha R1. Both include the full list of work above, carried out with the same method and the same care, from a small moped to a superbike.

These are starting prices, and prices may vary depending on location. A bike that is heavily soiled with mud or sand may carry an additional charge of £20 to £90, and this is always explained before any work starts. You can compare every service we offer, for cars and vans as well as bikes, on our prices page.

Gloss and Protection

How Your Bike Is Protected

A Yamaha MT10 under snow foam on a block paved drive

Much of a motorbike is open to rain and road dirt every time it is ridden, which is why every valet finishes with protection. The high gloss sealant on the paintwork adds gloss and water repellency, so rain beads and runs off the surface, and the polished chrome pipes and paintwork leave the whole bike looking cared for.

ACF-50 is applied on every motorbike valet to help prevent corrosion. Corrosion is a common concern for riders, particularly on a bike that is ridden through the winter, and it is far easier to help prevent than to put right later. That is why it is part of the standard valet for every moped and motorbike we look after.

If you would like to go further, a ceramic coating can be added to a motorbike valet for an additional cost. A coating adds gloss and water beading, makes the bike easier to clean and helps shield the paint from UV. We do not publish a price for a motorbike coating, so ask us when you book, or read how coatings work on our ceramic coating page.

Booking a Valet

How Booking Works for Bikes

You can book through our contact page, by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to 07734 374012, or by emailing [email protected]. Before the valet, please make sure the bike can be reached easily, with a little space to work around it, and that all valuables have been cleared from it.

A £10 deposit per vehicle secures the booking and comes off the final balance, and we can only hold your appointment once it is paid. Please give us 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel, as cancelling with less notice means 50% of the quoted price is payable. Payment is due on the day or before, by BACS, card, cash or PayPal, but not by cheque. If anything is not as it should be, contact us within 24 hours with photos and we will arrange a time to put it right.

Questions We Get Asked

Something else? See every question or call 07734 374012.

How Much Does a Motorbike Valet Cost?

A motorbike valet starts from £100, and a moped valet starts from £80. The motorbike price covers machines such as a Harley Davidson or a Yamaha R1, and the moped price covers models such as the Piaggio Zip and the Vespa. Prices may vary depending on location, and a ceramic coating can be added for an additional cost.

What Is Included in a Motorbike Valet?

A motorbike valet includes a pre wash and rinse, snow foam worked in with a soft detailing brush, cleaned wheels and a safe two bucket wash. The bike is rinsed until all shampoo is removed, a high gloss sealant is applied to the paintwork, the chrome pipes and paintwork are polished, and ACF-50 is applied to help prevent corrosion.

What Is ACF-50 and Why Do You Use It?

ACF-50 is a corrosion protection product, and we apply it on every motorbike valet to help prevent corrosion. Much of a motorbike is exposed to rain and road dirt each time it is ridden, so adding protection after a thorough, safe wash is a sensible part of looking after any bike.

Can You Put a Ceramic Coating on a Motorbike?

Yes, a ceramic coating can be added to a motorbike valet for an additional cost. We do not publish a set price for a motorbike coating, so tell us about your bike when you get in touch and we will price it for you. A coating adds gloss and water beading and makes the bike easier to clean.

Do You Come to Me or Do I Bring the Bike to You?

Both are possible: we can valet your bike at your home or workplace, or you can drop it off at our unit. We work in Bedford and across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and London, and prices may vary depending on location.

How Do I Book a Motorbike Valet?

You can book by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to 07734 374012, or by emailing [email protected]. A £10 deposit per vehicle secures your booking and comes off the final balance, and we ask for 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel.
