A Full Valet Inside and Out
The Extensive Clean is our full valet, a deep reset for a car that needs more than a regular wash, inside and out. Outside, the paintwork is fully decontaminated, dried with an air blower and protected for six months with a glossy finish. Inside, the cabin is steam cleaned and disinfected, the carpets are washed and extracted and the leather is cleaned and treated.
Like all of our work, it is done by hand, on your drive, at your workplace or at our unit. It is the valet to book when a car needs bringing back to a clean, protected starting point. If your car is already cleaned regularly, a Maintenance Wash may be all it needs.

Iron fallout is made up of tiny iron particles, mostly from brake dust, that bond to a car’s paintwork. Spray the panel to see the remover turn purple where those particles are, then rinse it away, as every Extensive Clean includes an iron fallout treatment.

Brake dust carries tiny iron particles that bond to the paint. The decontamination in every extensive clean dissolves them, and the remover bleeds purple as it reacts.

The Exterior Work in Full
Outside, the work begins with the wheels, wheel arches and tyres, which are thoroughly cleaned before the paint is touched. A citrus pre wash and pH neutral snow foam lift embedded dirt, the car is given a safe two bucket contact wash, and a tar and glue remover and an iron fallout treatment then fully decontaminate the paintwork by removing bonded particles.
The car is dried with specialist microfibre towels and a temperature controlled air blower. The paintwork is then protected for six months with a glossy finish, with a protection upgrade available if you would like one, the tyres are dressed, and the exterior glass is cleaned and treated with glass cleaner and a repellent.

The Interior Work in Full
Inside, the Extensive Clean is equally thorough. The cabin is fully vacuumed, dusted and cleaned, then steam cleaned, which leaves the interior clean and disinfected. The mats and carpets are washed and extracted, the roof lining is given a thorough clean and the boot area is cleaned as well, so the work reaches from the roof lining down to the carpets.
Leather seats are cleaned and treated, shielding them from UV to prevent fading and leaving them with a new matt finish. All the shuts are cleaned and protected, the interior glass is cleaned, and an air blast at the end leaves the vehicle smelling clean and fresh, ready for you to drive away.

When to Book Your Extensive Clean
An Extensive Clean is worth booking whenever a car has gone some time without a thorough clean. There are four occasions when it is especially useful, and each of them benefits from the deep clean of the paintwork and cabin that a regular maintenance wash does not include.
After a spell in storage, it lifts the dust and grime a standing car gathers. Before a sale, it helps the car look its best for photographs and viewings. With a new to you car, it means you start with a cabin that has been steam cleaned and disinfected. It is also the first step of our maintenance plan, which keeps the car at that standard afterwards.
An Extensive Clean leaves the paintwork clean, decontaminated and protected, but it does not include machine polishing. Where the paint also shows swirl marks or light scratches, our car detailing service adds machine polishing in stages, and you can ask about both when you book so the work can be planned together.

How We Check Size and Condition
The Extensive Clean is priced by the size of the vehicle, and every price is a starting price. Where the vehicle is can also affect the price, as prices may vary depending on location, so when you get in touch, please give us the make and model too and we will check its size.
Heavily soiled vehicles, for example with a lot of mud or sand, may carry an additional charge of £20 to £90. If that applies to your car, the charge is always explained before any work starts, so you know the full price before we begin. Hair woven into the seats and carpets is lifted with our Pet Hair Removal add on, from £100.
Keeping the Finish After Your Clean
The protection applied during an Extensive Clean keeps the paintwork protected for six months with a glossy finish, and the leather, shuts and glass are treated as part of the same visit. A protection upgrade is available if you would like one, so please ask about it when you book.
To keep the car at that standard, the Extensive Clean is also the start of our maintenance plan. Once it is done, regular maintenance washes, either weekly or monthly, look after the paint, wheels and cabin with the same safe method, so the result of your Extensive Clean is kept up between visits.

It goes further than our Maintenance Wash, adding decontamination, steam cleaning, carpet extraction and six months of protection, and it is the valet to choose after storage, before a sale or when you take on a new to you car.
How Much Does an Extensive Clean Cost?
An Extensive Clean costs from £160 for a small car, from £170 for a medium car, from £190 for a large car and from £200 for an extra large vehicle. These are starting prices that may vary depending on location, and the price for your vehicle is agreed with you before you book.
Do You Charge Extra for Pet Hair?
Pet hair woven into the seats and carpets is removed with our Pet Hair Removal add on, from £100, priced on how much hair there is and the size of the vehicle.
