Who We Are
This website is run by Ride Effect Ltd, a car valeting and detailing business registered in England and Wales, company number 13402901, registered office 27 St Cuthberts Street, Bedford MK40 3JG. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website, by phone, by WhatsApp or by email.

What We Collect
When you send an enquiry or a booking request, we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, your town or postcode, your vehicle, the service you are interested in, a preferred day and anything you write in the message box.
When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we receive your number or address and the content of your message.
The coverage checker on this website works inside your browser. The postcode you type is not sent to us or to anyone else.
The booking forms are protected by a security check from Cloudflare, which tells a person from an automated program, and each request is screened for spam before it reaches us. A request that the screening is unsure about may be held for a person at Top Rank Solutions, who look after this website, to review before it is passed on to our inbox.
How We Use It
We use your details to reply to you, to quote, to arrange and carry out the work, to take payment and to honour our satisfaction guarantee. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and then performing that contract.
We keep accounting records because the law requires it. We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell or share them for anyone else’s marketing.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within twelve months. Records of bookings and payments are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax and accounting.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising cookies. It uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages are most useful, which sets its own cookies (their names begin with _ga) and does not tell us who you are. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings.
The security check on the booking forms is Cloudflare Turnstile. It looks at technical details of your visit, such as your browser and your IP address, to tell a person from an automated program.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Please contact us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
