Car valeting in Bedford from Ride Effect comes in two levels, so you can choose the one that suits your car. The Maintenance Wash is a thorough hand wash and interior clean for a car that is cleaned regularly, while the Extensive Clean, our full valet, goes much deeper into the paintwork, wheels and cabin of a car that needs more attention.

Every valet begins with the same safe method. The wheels are cleaned, including the faces and inner barrels, a citrus pre wash reaches the door shuts and sills, and a snow foam pre wash loosens the dirt before the car is washed by hand using the two bucket method and a pH neutral shampoo. It is then rinsed and dried with microfibre towels, so the paintwork is treated with care at every stage.

Our car valeting is mobile, so the work can be done where your car is parked, at home or at work, in and around Bedford, Luton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Northampton and Towcester. What a Maintenance Wash Covers

The Maintenance Wash is our regular valet for a car that is already in reasonable condition. Outside, the wheels and arches are cleaned and the paintwork is washed by hand, then finished with a detailer spray or polish, while the tyres and trims are dressed and the glass is cleaned. Inside, the seats, carpets and mats are vacuumed and the dash, door panels and trims are wiped over.

It is also the service we carry out on our maintenance plan, weekly or monthly, once a car has had an Extensive Clean. Regular visits keep the vehicle looking showroom fresh, and because each one uses the same safe method, the paintwork is cleaned with care every time it is washed.

The Full Valet

How an Extensive Clean Goes Further

The Extensive Clean takes that same safe wash much further. The paintwork is fully decontaminated, with tar and glue removed and iron fallout treated, and the car is dried with the help of a temperature controlled air blower as well as microfibre towels. The finish is then protected for six months, and the outside glass is treated with a repellent as well as being cleaned.

The cabin receives the same depth of attention. It is steam cleaned so that it is left clean and disinfected, the carpets and mats are washed and extracted, the roof lining, boot and shuts are cleaned too, and leather seats are treated to protect them from UV. The Difference Between Our Two Valets

The main difference between the two valets is depth. A Maintenance Wash keeps a car that is cleaned regularly in good order, while an Extensive Clean brings a car back to that standard after a longer gap. Both include the same safe hand wash, but only the Extensive Clean adds decontamination, an air blower dry, six months of protection and a deep clean of the interior.

If your car is washed often and you would like it kept that way, book a Maintenance Wash. If it has not had a thorough clean for some time, has been in storage, is new to you or is about to be sold, start with an Extensive Clean. Swirl marks and light scratches in the paint are beyond a valet, and for those, car detailing is the next step.

How Often a Car Should Be Valeted

How often a car should be valeted depends on how much it is driven and where it is kept. A car used every day picks up road dirt quickly, and regular washing keeps that dirt from building up on the paint, wheels and glass. Washing safely matters as much as washing often, which is why every visit uses the same careful method.

For most cars, we suggest an Extensive Clean first and then a regular maintenance wash, weekly or monthly. Weekly visits suit a car that is used every day, and monthly visits suit a car that covers fewer miles. Our maintenance plan sets out those regular visits once the Extensive Clean has been done.

What Car Valeting in Bedford Costs

Our valeting prices are set by the size of the vehicle, and each one is a starting price. Small covers cars such as a Smart Car, Fiat 500 or Audi A1, medium covers an Audi A3 or Mercedes C Class, large covers an Audi A8 or Range Rover Evoque, and extra large covers vehicles such as a Mercedes G Class or Ford Transit.

Does a Car Valet Include the Inside of the Car?

Yes, both of our valets cover the inside of the car as well as the outside. A Maintenance Wash vacuums and wipes down the cabin and cleans the glass, while an Extensive Clean goes much further, with steam cleaning, washed and extracted carpets, a roof lining clean and treated leather seats.

Do You Valet Vans and Motorbikes as Well as Cars?

Yes, we valet vans and motorbikes as well as cars. Our extra large size covers vans such as a Ford Transit, with a Maintenance Wash from £95 and an Extensive Clean from £200. Motorbikes have their own valet, from £80 for a moped and from £100 for a motorbike, and we also look after vehicle fleets for businesses.

Will a Valet Remove Swirl Marks and Scratches?

No, a valet cleans the paintwork thoroughly but does not remove swirl marks or scratches, as that takes machine polishing. Our Stage 2 Correction, from £450, removes moderate swirl marks and light scratches, and our Stage 3 Correction, from £700, is for heavier swirl marks, scratches and other paint defects.

Can I Book a Car Valet on a Saturday?

Yes, Saturday valets are available by appointment only. Our normal hours are 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and we are closed on Sundays, so please contact us in advance if a Saturday suits you better and we will arrange a time with you.
